We are a veterinary medical device company dedicated to improving the lives of animals with challenging orthopedic and neurosurgical conditions. We design and manufacture high-quality, cost-effective implants, both off-the-shelf and customized, for <strong»>companion animals including dogs and cats.
Our mission is to restore mobility and quality of life through innovation, precision and collaboration. With deep expertise in porous titanium, 3D printing, polyaxial locking systems and personalized implant design, we partner with skilled veterinary surgeons around the world to deliver solutions that respect tissue biology, match each animal’s anatomy and support faster healing.

Rooted in research, engineered for impact
biosurgexS.L. was founded in 2018 as a spin-off of the Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ITC), one of Spain’s leading public research institutions. However, our journey began long before that. Since 2006, ITC’s Biomedical Engineering Department has led pioneering research on bone and cartilage regeneration.
In 2011, it designed and implanted the first worldwide “Porous TTA” and one of the first custom porous titanium implants. That same team now powers biosurgexS.L. , building on over a decade of successful collaborations with veterinary surgeons across Europe and beyond, to deliver innovative, customized medical solutions.
